SARAH SAYEED PERFORMS BLACK IS... AT CARGO!

SARAH SAYEED performed a intense and lively set last Thursday at Cargo to a small but curious audience of new fans and press! Beginning her high energy set with a five piece band SARAH SAYEED effortlessly gave her crowd tracks like Throwin The Sea and forthcoming album tune You and Me, weaving endless words between non stop rhythmns, and soulful jazz instrumentations ofkeys and trumpet. Funked up electric guitar and bass carried through the heatbeart of words words and more words!!!

Her second set consisted of stripped down raw and jazzy beats, Indian samples and yes, more lyrics and vocals from the fearlesss lyricist. Here she didn'd disappoint.

In the next few days further coverage and news from THAT LIVE SHOW will feature on SARAH SAYEED's official website. With video clips from the show appearing both on here and on YouTube.

SARAH SAYEED is continuing work in the studio as well as plugging BLACK IS...Single to as many people as possible. She states ''The work on Black IS...has only just begun, I still have to hustle the track to get it played on the radio. It's still quite a hard track, but I think the DJ's will love it. The crowd on Thursday loved the live versions. You can't get more hip-hop than this beat. Black IS...sounds fresh to me.''

Asked about her performance on Thursday SARAH SAYEED states ''I think I gave my performance 100% with every song. Obviously it was disappointing there wasn't a bigger audience but I went with the energy of the audience. In hindsight I would have perhaps brought the small audience in to my world a little more, I remained focused on the songs and the set. I was also feeling a little shy between songs for some reason, and chose to give the energy I had into the material. I hope the audience could appreciate that.''

There will be more news about the Black IS...Single Launch over the next few days and weeks, with further updates on press coverage and Video Links. You can follow SARAH SAYEED too on Twitter and Facebook to see what she is upto.
